Join our online workshop to gain the tools you need to find success with indie and hybrid publishing. A link to the workshop recording will be provided to all who pay the registration fee regardless of whether they attend. Following is our schedule:

9:30 a.m. – Welcome (Jill K Willis, chapter president) and devotional (Jennifer Purcell, chapter vice president)

9:45 – 11 a.m. – “From Manuscript to Ebook”
Creston Mapes demonstrates how to format manuscripts through Vellum, create book covers on Canva, and upload the finished product to KDP. Creston has written 11 contemporary thrillers, achieved Amazon Bestseller status, and had one of his novels (Nobody) optioned as a major motion picture. His first six books were published through a traditional press. His last five are indie published.

11 – 11:15 a.m. – Break

11:15 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. – “Amazon Advertising Bootcamp”
Vincent B. Davis II unravels the mysteries of Amazon advertising, including how Kindle algorithms, best seller and popularity lists, and price promotions work. Vincent has published four political thrillers about ancient Rome, a mafia thriller, and two novellas through Amazon KDP. He promotes all his work through Amazon advertising, eschewing social media.

12:30 – 12:45 p.m. – Break.
Grab lunch and enjoy it during the lunchtime panel.

12:45 – 1:45 p.m. – “Indie Author Success Stories” Lunchtime Panel
Hope Welborn moderates a panel of ACFW N. GA members who have successfully navigated the indie publishing process. Terri Gillespie, Robert Quattlebaum, and Ruth Trippy will share their publishing and marketing tips.

1:45 – 2 p.m. – Break.

2 – 3:15 p.m. – “Hybrid Publishing”
Athena Dean Holtz discusses how hybrid publishing can benefit those who aren’t ready for pure indie publishing. Athena is the founder and publisher of Redemption Press, a hybrid publisher located in Enumclaw, WA. She’s also an author, blogger, podcaster, bookstore owner, and pastor’s wife.
